MONDAY MOVIE MEME
This week's movie topic is all about The '80's...Time to get nostalgic. Share some of your favorite movies from the '80's. Well I was a child growing up in the 80's so most of my favorites are children movies. However once I got started thinking about the movies from the 80's it was hard to stop! I don't remember watching a lot of movies, I was more interested in climbing trees and watching Saturday cartoons. So the ones listed here are the ones I clearly remember watching (usually over and over).
- Ghostbusters (1984)
- E.T (1982)
- Back to the Future (1985)
- The Never Ending Story (1984)
- The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984)
- Die Hard (1988)
- Indiana Jones and the last Crusade (1989) - I like all three but I just listed my fave of the three here.
- Leathal Weapon (1987)
- Labyrinth (1986)
- Gremlins (1984)
- Goonies (1984)
- Star Wars, V, VI (1977-83)
- James Bond movies (1962-80's).
- Batman (1989)
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
Great list. Should have put Die Hard and The Empire Strikes Back on my list thinking about it.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit - YAY! That was an awesome movie - kudos to you for thinking of it. Why is that never on TV?
ReplyDeleteE.T. was the first movie I ever owned. I was scared to death by Gremlins. I still think they are scary! lol Ghostbusters and Star Wars were big with me, as was Back to the Future and Three Men and a Baby. I was just 10 when the 80s ended so I did not watch movies that I have seen since that are great 80s films (Breakfast Club, anyone?)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I came by to tell you there is an award waiting for you over on my blog: http://imlostinbooks.blogspot.com/2009/06/bookfriends-award.html
The Never Ending Story was one of my childhood favorites. I could watch that over and over. I've been meaning to read the book--I hadn't known until a couple of years ago the movie was based on an actual book.
