Friday Fill-Ins: 12 June 2009

Janet is the Host of Friday Fill-In.My responses are in green.

And...here we go!

1. I grew up thinking I could be rich and famous one day. Apparently though just thinking it does not work. I however remain hopeful that plan b will work; praying to the lotto gods.

2. Twitter was the last website I was at before coming here.

3. Why don't you go and fetch the minions?

4. Listening to a good boppy tune helps me relax.

5. Thanks for the chocolate.

6. Rude people are very off-putting.

7.
And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching Wipeout
which is good brainless fun, tomorrow my plans include more gardening, I am
on a roll now and Sunday, I want to read and do nothing!

  1. I think the lotto gods have turned a deaf ear. They certainly don't listen to me. Good luck with that one. Good post, Caspette. I chuckled a lot!

  2. Will the minions help me with the housework? LOL Music helps me relax too. I almost listed that in my response. :-) I'm with you on rude people. I hope you have a great week. And make sure you don't overwork that wrist!

I wanted to thank you again for your help yesterday with my sofa set dilemma. We finally settled on one of the nicer sets. It wasn't the one we initially had in mind when we walked back in the store today, but after careful consideration, we decided it was the better choice (it wasn't the cheaper one we'd been considering either--the one I mentioned yesterday). The one we decided on is slightly less expensive but is of a similar style to the one we'd been favoring. I think we both realized that we're rather plain people and going with the nice but understated set was more our style than the fancier one we'd been eying. Kind of a compromise. :-) We're both very pleased with our choice.

    Have a great weekend!

  4. I could use some minions to help organize my bookshelves. Hmmm...is there somewhere you can go to acquire minions?

  6. Thanks for your comment on my found dog post! She is very cute...and stays right by my side. I think I am going to call her Daisy. We found out this morning that she is not microchipped, so she has an appt for a check up next week. Right now she is laying next to me on the couch snoring. :)

  7. Yeah, it's funny how thinking about being rich and famous doesn't make it so. But everyone tries it, don't they? Lotto gods are a good one. I've been trying wishing on stars but they seem to be plotting against me...

  8. I just now realized we have the same layout on our blogs. I'm not too swift on the uptake, huh?

  9. Those lotto gods don't listen to me either! I agree with all of your answers too - chocolate, good tunes, gardening and reading are some of my favorite things. My kids have watched Wipeout and laughed their butts off, especially while watching the original Japanese show. I haven't seen the new version yet but it looks painful! Hope you're having a great week. I'm way behind visiting blogs but I always enjoy coming here. :)
