Tuesday Teaser: 17 February 2009

Teaser Tuesdays hosted by Should Be Reading asks you to:
  • Grab your current read
  • Let the book fall open to a random page
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Do NOT post anything that could spoil the plot of the book!
"It goes by many names: "The Crisis," "The Dark Years," "The Walking Plague," as well as newer and more "hip" titles such as "World War Z" or " Z War One". I personally dislike this last moniker as it implies an inevitable "Z War Two". For me, it will always be "The Zombie War," and while many may protest the scientific accuracy of the word zombie, they will be hard-pressed to discover a more globally accepted term for the creatures that almost caused out extinction. 1. So far it has been interesting. The story is told as a series of interviews from survivors. I am really enjoying this way of presenting a horror story.

  2. Haven't heard of this one before. But those are great teasers!

  3. This is a new-to-me book. Good teaser!

  4. I've seen this in stores and have his book The Zombie Survival Guide (or something like that) might have to check this one out too. Great teaser.

  5. My husband read a book about the zombie wars I think. I wonder if it's part of the same series?

  6. We are doomed! Oh wait ... almost, whew. :P

  7. I've been curious about this one. I'll be watching for your final comments! Great tease.

  8. Hi!
Haven't heard of this book before. Your teasers do sound intriguing! Have a great day!!

  9. Oh, thanks for sharing this teaser! This has been on my TBR list (and I'm thinking I'll need a separate list one day for all the zombie reads I need to be doing).

Have you heard of Zombie Haiku, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and Patient Zero?

    Sorry...zombies make me excited!

  10. This is new to me also but I really like your teaser.
