All Set For The Big Wet is a delightful story about a group of animals that are hurrying to a boat to get ready for the wet (season).

The book is set to the song " the ants go marching" which makes it fun and easy to read.  As a result of the tune it makes it easy to get into a rhythm when reading and if you punctuate the story with the actions (for instance when the book says "with a loud yahoo!" well you do a loud yahoo) it just makes the story very interesting to a toddler or young child. As a result, this one of my favourites to read aloud and my son's favourite to listen to me reading.

While reading the book your child is learning counting to ten, as each page deals with a specific number. They also learn about Australian animals.

The illustration was done by the author and vibrant and colourful. The cartoonish appearance is appealing to kids with the animals having big eyes and big smiles. Each page has a little animal hidden which can be just as much fun to find for a toddler as reading the book.

If you have a young toddler (and even an older child) I would recommend this book whole heartedly.
